Available in July, the Wegovy Pill is the new once-daily way to lose weight without the stress or extra time spent on weekly injections.

Wegovy contains the active ingredient semaglutide, offering a clinically supported approach to health-related weight management.

Despite the major interest in and discord around Wegovy and other weight loss drugs, your decisions about your weight remain a private medical matter.

With this in mind, we offer Wegovy weight loss pills by discreet post with four dosages to choose from.

Treatment should always be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet, increased physical activity, and sustainable lifestyle changes.

What is Wegovy?

Wegovy is a once-daily pill GLP-1 receptor agonist, that assists weight loss by reducing appetite and helping you feel fuller for longer.

Many people considering Wegovy are looking for a treatment that can fit into everyday life. Because Wegovy is administered just once a day, many patients find it convenient to incorporate into their routine.

It is not a quick fix or a standalone solution, so it works best when combined with healthy eating, regular movement, and long-term habit change.

How do Wegovy pills differ from Wegovy Pens?

Wegovy pens are injectables which can be taxing on the areas of the body used as regular injection sites. The Wegovy pen form may discourage those with a fear of needles from even seeking treatment.

The Wegovy pill is a simple once daily treatment that is minimally invasive. This is a lifeline for people with anxiety or difficulty around using the Wegovy pen.

Where Can I Buy Wegovy Pills Safely and Legitimately?

People looking to buy Wegovy online without GP referral should only do so from a registered and regulated pharmacy or online doctor.

Webmed is regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Care Quality Commission and are Legit Script Certified.

Who is Eligible for Wegovy?

Before you can get your Wegovy prescription online, you’ll need to have an online consultation (usually an online form for later review).

You will be asked questions about your health, weight history, current medications, and treatment goals.

A qualified prescriber reviews this information before deciding whether treatment is suitable.

If approved, Wegovy can be supplied with detailed guidance on dosage, administration, and ongoing support.

Can I take Wegovy with other medicines?

Wegovy may interact with certain medications or affect how quickly some medicines are absorbed.

Patients should always disclose prescription medicines, over-the-counter treatments, supplements, and herbal products during their consultation.

This allows prescribers to assess whether treatment is appropriate and identify any potential concerns.

How Much Weight Will I Lose and How Long Does this Take?

In a 68-week medical study of 1,961 adults living with obesity or excess weight with a related medical problem:

· Adults lost an average of 35 lbs (16kg), roughly 15% of their body weight.

· People taking placebo lost an average of 6 lbs (or ~2.4% body weight).

· The average starting weight for both groups was ~232 lbs.

In the STEP clinical trials Wegovy patients started to lose weight as early as week 4

While taking Wegovy, people not only lost weight, but also kept it off.

Wegovy can be highly effective when used consistently alongside healthy lifestyle changes. While individual results vary, many people experience meaningful weight loss when they follow their treatment plan and remain engaged with long-term weight management strategies.

Why does weight loss plateau?

A weight loss plateau can occur during any weight management journey. As body weight decreases, calorie requirements often change and previous routines may become less effective.

Plateaus can also be influenced by changes in physical activity, eating habits, sleep quality, stress levels, or treatment progression.

A plateau does not necessarily mean that Wegovy has stopped working. It may indicate that your wider weight management plan needs reviewing.

What if I am still hungry on Wegovy?

It is still possible to feel hungry on Wegovy, especially early in treatment or during dose changes. If hunger remains strong, it may help to review portion sizes, meal composition, protein intake, and timing, and your prescriber may need to check whether the dose or treatment plan needs adjusting.

Some people continue to experience hunger while using Wegovy, particularly during the early stages of treatment or while adjusting to a new dose.

Reviewing meal composition, protein intake, hydration, portion sizes, and eating patterns may help improve appetite control. If hunger remains difficult to manage, a clinical review may be appropriate.

Getting Started with Wegovy

How to take Wegovy

Take one Wegovy pill once daily, on an empty stomach with some water, taking care not to chew or crush the pill.

If you miss a dose, don’t try to catch up. Simply skip this dose and resume your routine the following day.

When not in use, your wegovy pills should be kept in their sealed container.

It’s generally recommended to wait at least 30 days between each dose increase.

Wegovy dosage schedule

Wegovy is started at a low dose and increased gradually over time. This gradual approach allows your body to adapt to treatment with minimal side effects.

These side effects can include nausea, vomiting, or stomach discomfort. A typical Wegovy dosage schedule follows this pattern:

Treatment Weeks

Dose

Day 1-30: 1.5mg once daily

Day 31-60: 4mg once daily

Days 61-90: 9mg once daily

Days 91+: 25mg once daily

Your prescriber may adjust this schedule depending on how well you tolerate treatment.

Some people remain on a lower dose for longer if they experience side effects or require additional time to adapt before increasing.

Wegovy should be taken alongside a reduced-calorie diet, regular physical activity, and long-term lifestyle changes.

You should never increase your dose independently or take more Wegovy than prescribed.

What happens when you increase your Wegovy dose?

As your Wegovy dose increases, appetite suppression may become more noticeable. Many people find they feel fuller sooner, experience fewer food cravings, and have improved control over portion sizes as treatment progresses.

Increasing the dose can also improve the overall effectiveness of treatment, helping support greater weight loss when combined with healthy lifestyle changes.

Because higher doses have a stronger effect on the body, some people notice temporary side effects after a dose increase. Common examples include nausea, bloating, indigestion, constipation, diarrhoea, or stomach discomfort. These effects are often mild and improve as your body adjusts.

Following the recommended dose escalation schedule helps reduce the likelihood of side effects and gives your body time to adapt gradually.

What is the Wegovy maintenance dose?

The standard maintenance dose of Wegovy is 25mg once daily. This is the target dose that many patients reach after completing the gradual dose escalation schedule.

The maintenance dose is as defined by the OASIS 4 trial which after 64 weeks saw weight loss of up to 22% of initial body weight.

The maintenance dose is intended to provide ongoing appetite control and support long-term weight management. Reaching this dose does not mean treatment is complete. Many people continue using Wegovy under medical supervision while maintaining healthy dietary and lifestyle habits.

Not every patient will remain on the 25mg dose. If side effects become difficult to tolerate, a prescriber may recommend staying on a lower dose if it continues to provide benefits. The most appropriate maintenance dose depends on your treatment response, tolerability, and long-term weight management goals.

Regular reviews with your prescriber can help ensure that your treatment remains safe, effective, and appropriate for your needs.

Aftercare and Maintenance

Aftercare is an important part of Wegovy treatment because starting the medicine is only one stage of the journey. Many people also need support with follow-up, dose reviews, side effects, and maintaining progress over time.

What support is available during treatment?

You may be unsure about your dose, your response to treatment, or what to do next.

We offer free 30 minute wellness coaching sessions on Saturday mornings, to help you with your weight loss journey in a supportive and collaborative group environment. Led by an experienced wellness coach and pharmacist, we take a holistic approach to healthy weight loss across sleep, nutrition, hydration, stress and exercise.

We strongly recommend coordinating your use of Wegovy with your local GP. You can also reach out to our team (contact details in footer) if you have any questions or concerns.

Support may include messaging a clinical team, treatment reviews, advice on side effects, and guidance on diet and lifestyle.

How often will I need a treatment review?

Review timing can vary, depending on the advice of your primary care provider.

How can I keep the weight off?

Keeping weight off usually means combining treatment with lasting changes to food, movement, sleep, and daily habits. The best results tend to come from routines that are realistic, sustainable, and tailored to your lifestyle.

What happens when I stop Wegovy?

When treatment stops, appetite may rise again and the risk of weight regain increases if habits have not changed enough to support maintenance.

For that reason, many people need an aftercare plan rather than simply ending treatment without follow-up. Ask your GP for options or referral.

How long do you take Wegovy for weight loss?

How long you stay on Wegovy depends on how well it works, how well you tolerate it, and what your treatment goals are. Some people use it for a limited period, while others may need longer-term support under medical supervision.

Who is eligible for the Wegovy Tablet?

The Wegovy® tablet is a once-daily prescription GLP-1 medication containing semaglutide. It’s taken orally and is indicated for weight management, along with diet and exercise, in adults living with obesity(BMI ≥30), or some adults with excess weight (overweight, BMI≥27) who also have weight-related medical problems.

Is Wegovy tablet a GLP-1 medication?

Yes, a Wegovy® (semaglutide) tablet is an oral glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. Your body naturally makes GLP-1 hormone which helps regulate appetite. Wegovy® works similarly to that hormone, helping you eat fewer calories and lose weight by reducing your appetite.

How does the Wegovy tablet work?

Wegovy® is an MHRA-approved weight management medication that works by mimicking GLP-1, a naturally occurring hormone involved in regulating appetite and food intake. By targeting areas of the brain that control hunger, Wegovy® helps reduce appetite and calorie intake, making it easier to eat less and lose weight. It also slows stomach emptying, helping you feel fuller for longer and supporting sustainable weight loss when used alongside a healthy diet and lifestyle.

How much weight could I lose with the Wegovy tablet?

In a medical study, adults living with obesity, or with overweight and at least one weight-related medical problem, who took Wegovy® pill, along with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, lost about on average 17% of their starting body weight.

What is the dosage schedule for the Wegovy tablets?

The dosing schedule is designed to increase gradually, starting at 1.5mg, then progressing to 4mg, 9mg, and finally reaching a maintenance dose of 25mg, with each dose level typically taken for one month.

Wegovy escalation shedule

If needed, you can remain on a dose for longer than a month, particularly if you are experiencing side effects and would benefit from additional time to adjust before increasing to the next dose.

How do I take the Wegovy tablets?

  • Take your Wegovy tablet first thing each morning while your stomach is empty, before consuming any food, drinks, or other oral medicines
  • Swallow the tablet whole with up to 120 ml/4oz of plain still water. Avoid taking it with coffee, juice, sparkling water, or other beverages
  • After taking the tablet, wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking anything other than water, or using any additional medications
  • Do not break, crush, or chew the tablet

What if I miss a dose?

Missed a dose? Don't worry—just take your next tablet as usual the following morning. Do not take two tablets to make up for the missed dose, as this can increase side effects without providing any additional benefit. Because food interferes with the medication's absorption, taking it later in the day is unlikely to be effective.

Does the Wegovy tablet have any side effects?

As with any medication, side effects can occur, but many people experience few or none. They are most common when beginning treatment or moving to a higher dose and usually settle as your body becomes accustomed to the medication.

The most common side effects of Wegovy® may include:

  • nausea
  • diarrhoea
  • vomiting
  • constipation
  • stomach (abdomen) pain
  • changes in skin sensations
  • headache
  • tiredness (fatigue)
  • upset stomach
  • dizziness
  • feeling bloated
  • belching
  • low blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes
  • wind
  • gastroenteritis
  • heartburn
  • hair loss

How should I store the Wegovy tablets?

Store your blister pack at room temperature between

20 °C to 25 °C in a dry place away from moisture.

What happens when I stop taking Wegovy tablets?

Clinical studies have shown that many people who stop taking weight management medication after reaching their target weight may gradually regain some or most of the weight they have lost.

Obesity is recognised as a chronic, long-term medical condition. Like many chronic conditions, ongoing management is often needed to help maintain treatment benefits. For this reason, continuing on a maintenance dose, under the guidance of a healthcare professional, may be recommended to support long-term weight management and help reduce the risk of weight regain.

Why does weight loss plateau?

Weight loss plateaus are a normal part of any weight-loss journey. As you lose weight, your body requires fewer calories to function, meaning the calorie deficit that initially drove weight loss naturally becomes smaller over time. Other factors, such as changes in metabolism, activity levels, and fluid retention, can also contribute to a temporary slowdown in progress. While this can be frustrating, a plateau does not mean your treatment has stopped working.

So, what can you do? Over time, eating habits can gradually change without you noticing. Portion sizes may increase, snacks can become more frequent, and even healthy foods can contribute excess calories if consumed in larger amounts. Taking a closer look at your diet can help identify areas for improvement. Prioritising protein and fibre-rich foods can help you feel fuller for longer, support muscle maintenance, and improve appetite control.

The good news is that plateaus are usually temporary. By making small adjustments and getting back on track with healthy eating habits, most people can restart their weight-loss progress and continue moving towards their goals.

Who should not take Wegovy?

  • As there is limited therapeutic experience in patients 85 years of age or over, use in these patients is not recommended

  • Anyone with liver or kidney disease should not take wegovy(semaglutide)

  • Hypersensitivity to semaglutide or to any of the excipients listed in the patient information leaflet.

  • This medicine is not recommended if you have a severe stomach or gut problem which results in delayed stomach emptying (called gastroparesis), or if you have an inflammatory bowel disease.

  • Semaglutide should be used with caution in patients with thyroid disease.

  • Upon initiation of semaglutide treatment in patients on warfarin or other coumarin derivatives more frequent monitoring of International Normalised Ratio (INR) is recommended.

  • Severe heart failure or ever had a stroke

  • Disease of the pancreas

  • Pregnancy and breast-feeding:- This medicine should not be used during pregnancy, as it is not known if it may affect your unborn child. Therefore, it is recommended to use contraception while using this medicine. If you wish to become pregnant, you should stop using this medicine at least two months in advance. If you become or are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby when using this medicine, talk to your doctor straight away, as your treatment will need to be stopped. Do not use this medicine if you are breast-feeding, as it is unknown if it passes into breast milk.

Can I switch from Wegovy or Mounjaro injection to tablets?

If you’re considering moving from Wegovy injections to tablet form, this can be done safely, with your new dose depending on the strength you’re currently using. For instance, someone on the 2.4 mg Wegovy injection would typically transition to the equivalent Wegovy 25 mg tablet.

Switching safely from Wegovy

Because both Wegovy tablets and injections contain the same active ingredient, the process of changing between them is generally straightforward.

In most cases, you would take your final injection as usual, leave a seven-day gap, and then begin taking the tablet once daily. This break helps ensure there is no overlap in dosing.

Switching safely from Mounjaro

Mounjaro contains tirzepatide, which is different from semaglutide, the active ingredient in Wegovy. Despite this difference, switching between the two treatments is still possible under medical guidance.

Typically, you would have your last Mounjaro injection, wait a week, and then start Wegovy tablets. Our prescriber will advise on the most appropriate starting dose based on your current treatment level and how you’ve responded so far, including any side effects experienced.
