The Juniper Scalp Therapy Conditioner is a rich blend of organic oils and hair strengthening amino acids that moisturise and replenish the hair. These special ingredients help to increase the hair’s elasticity and strength, giving it shine and body and leaving it feeling silky smooth.

The Juniper Scalp Therapy Conditioner can be used by men, women and children aged 12 and older.

After using the Juniper Shampoo gently massage the conditioner through the mid sections and ends of your hair. Rinse well.
Rinse well with water if product goes into the eyes.

One of the problems with having any form of scaling on the scalp is that it can interfere with the flow of the skin’s natural oil (called sebum) along the hair shaft. Typically, the scale on the scalp acts like a sponge soaking up much of the oil from the hair follicles. This causes the scalp, and the air close to the scalp, to become very oily. Because there is less oil to flow along the hair shaft the mid sections, and particularly the ends of the hair, become dry, dull and brittle.

The Juniper Conditioner is designed to ‘target’ the mid to end sections of the hair and to greatly improve its condition, elasticity and moisture content. Although it is made with organic oils it is still a light formulation that will not weight down the hair as some conditioners tend to do.

You will find that as your scalp becomes healthier and scale disappears that sebum no longer congregates on and near the scalp and starts to flow nicely along the hair shaft, conditioning the hair as it does so. This being the case you may need to use less of the Juniper Conditioner and, indeed, some people may not need it at all. Although we are proud of the Juniper Conditioner, we are happy to admit that our own natural skin oil is the best conditioner in the world as it’s made individually for each of us, and it doesn’t’ get better than that!

Tony Maleedy’s Juniper Scalp Therapy Conditioner is made with four organic oils: Avocado Oil, Almond Oil, Olive Oil and Coconut Oil.

The oils basically serve two purposes in the product; firstly, to help moisturise the hair and secondly to protect it from damage. Hair in good condition has a natural moisture content within the internal fibres called the ‘cortex’ of approximately 10%. When hair becomes dry and brittle it is because the moisture content within the cortex is reduced, sometimes dramatically so, which leads to the hair losing its elasticity and strength to the point where it splits and breaks.

To correct this problem and improve the condition and appearance of the hair it is crucial to increase the moisture content of the hair. This is what happens when you use a conditioner. Moisture penetrates into the hair’s cortical fibres, BUT, it would also largely escape back out of these fibres if there were no oils in the conditioner. The Juniper Conditioner places an ultra-fine layer of oils onto the surface of your hair, these oils help trap the moisture within the hair’s internal fibres and this greatly increases your hair strength and elasticity.

The second way it improves your hair is by helping to protect it from damage. It does this by smoothing and flattening the cuticle scales on the surface of your hair. These scales open and become vulnerable to damage when your hair is dry. When they open, the important moisture inside your hair can escape more easily, making it even dryer, and because open cuticle scales give the hair a rough surface the hair tangles easily and breaks. The oils in the Juniper Conditioner very gently cover the cuticle scales on the surface of your hair compressing it and leaving it smoother and less vulnerable to damage from heat, styling products or adverse weather conditions.
